A Advantage Tax and Financial Services is owned and operated by J. Daniel Smith. Mr. Smith has a degree in finance from Northern Arizona University, and has been involved in the financial services industry since 1981.

Primarily a tax based financial consultant, his resume includes property casualty insurance licenses, life and health insurance products, and registeration with FINRA as a registered Investment Advisor. Additionally he has affiliated contacts with firms and individuals specializing in Section 125 cafeteria plans, medical savings accounts, and attorneys who are involved in the estate planning and other legal business matters.

We charge for our service either on a flat hourly fee or by a prearranged billing schedule. Our basic fees for income tax preparation start at $64.00 for the simplest of tax returns. Our average fee is approximately $165.00. This could be a return with two wage earners, children under age 17, and itemizing on Schedule A. Also we do offer reduced tax preparation fees in exchange for other financial services that might be offered and accepted by our clients.

Once you are a client of A Advantage Tax, we do not charge for periodic consultation or tax review. In fact we highly recommend that you visit with us at least one other time throughout the course of a year to simply 'fine tune' your taxes.

Referrals are always appreciated and we pride ourselves on offering a 10% referral discount to those folks who come to us. As well as we will send the referring party a $10.00 bill for their thoughtfulness. But keep in mind-it is taxable!
