A Advantage Tax and Financial Services is owned and operated by J. Daniel Smith. Mr. Smith has a degree in finance from Northern Arizona University, and has been involved in the financial services industry since 1981.

Primarily a tax based financial consultant, his resume includes property casualty insurance licenses, life and health insurance products, and registeration with FINRA as a registered Investment Advisor. Additionally he has affiliated contacts with firms and individuals specializing in Section 125 cafeteria plans, medical savings accounts, and attorneys who are involved in the estate planning and other legal business matters.

We charge for our services either on a flat hourly fee or by a prearranged billing schedule. Our basic fees for income tax preparation start at $79.00. Included with our fee is FREE ELECTRONIC FILING. This program allows you to know that your income tax return has been filed accurately. It also allows you to receive your refund in a much shorter time period.

Our hourly fees start at $100.00 per hour with a minimum of one hour. Generally we will not charge a client for a complimentary consultation. However if a prospective client wishes to have any formal analysis written up and conveyed to them or another party, then our billing rate will start. On occasion we will offer prepayment incentives to create client relationships with a credit given for future completion of tax returns or analysis

Also we do offer reduced tax preparation fees in exchange for other financial services that might be offered and accepted by our clients.

Once you are a client of A Advantage Tax, we do not charge for periodic consultation or tax review. In fact we highly recommend that you visit with us at least one other time throughout the course of a year to simply 'fine tune' your taxes.

Referrals are always appreciated and we pride ourselves on offering a 10% referral discount to those folks who come to us. As well as we will send the referring party a $10.00 bill for their thoughtfulness. But keep in mind-it is taxable!
